The enigmatic Vault Keepers were the race of now-mythic creatures that built the enormous vaults of Orv and populated them with creatures from various locations in the multi-verse. Little is known about them but for the evidence of their incomprehensible might shown through their immense relic constructions. It is theorized that their vaults were vast experiments conducted for unknown purposes.
Little is known of what happened to this race today as over the eons most knowledge about them has faded into myth. Some believe they were eventually driven away from this world after losing a prolonged war with the Aboleth.[1]
