Re: Length of Keleshite rule over Osirion : According to pgs. 201 and 203 of the Campaign Setting, Pharaoh Menedes XXVI was toppled by Qadiri operatives in 1532 AR. The Keleshite yoke was not thrown off by Prince Khemet I until 4609 AR, which is over three thousand years. The length of "700 years" seems to refer to the time span between the intorduction of Sarenrae worship in Osirion, and the time when the Cult of the Dawnflower overthrew the Keleshite Satrap, creating a kingdom ruled by what pg. 116 of the Campaign Setting calls "independent Keleshite sultans". It's a little confusing, but that seems to say that Keleshite rulers continued ruling Osirion until about 100 years before present. This assumption is supported on pg. 2 of "Osirion, Land of the Pharaohs" by the sentence: "Now, less than a century after the death of their last foreign sultan ...". --brandingopportunity 05:51, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- That makes sense, but I didn't know where the dates came from. We need to remember to cite such information in the future; the only source it was pointing to was the nation article in the Campaign Setting, so that's where I verified 700 years from before reverting the edit.
- Actually, compiling that information is commendable, and exactly what makes a good wiki article. Nice work. -- Heaven's Agent 06:23, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
