Are you sure it is a good idea to add details such as a list of known gnoll tribes in the whole Golarion, within an article about the humanoid "gnoll" ?? IMHO it is better to leave these articles more independent. Not because we are going to use them beyond Golarion but because in this way we have to include in this place all known tribes of gnolls, orcs etc. For example PAIZO sources don't do that. They just have a paragraph or two describing the generic position of the monsters/humanoids in Golarion. --Dmeta 19:55, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

Don't misunderstand; this isn't supposed to be an exhaustive list of gnoll tribes on Golarion. That's why there's a link directing one to the subarticle Gnoll/Tribes, where such an exhaustive listing is appropriate. That said it's recommended, and in truth somewhat expected, to summarize the more common locations that a creature or culture calls home within the parent article itself. As the Pale Mountains region is arguably one of the most concentrated gnoll population centers in the campaign setting, it's appropriate to mention the region briefly here. Though as we add to the subject, it may simply become more expedient to lump the gnoll tribes of the Pale Mountains in with those found in Katapesh as a whole. -- Heaven's Agent 20:57, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
