Shalast (pronounced sha-LAST)[1], the domain of wealth and greed, was one of the seven nations which formed the ancient empire of Thassilon. At the time of its fall, Shalast was ruled by Runelord Karzoug who maintained his opulent palace in the mountain-top capital of Xin-Shalast. The nation was at near constant war with its western rival, Bakrakhan.[2]
