Orcs surfaced from the Darklands during the Age of Darkness, having been displaced by dwarves bent on their Quest for Sky. Orcs prospered greatly during this time, as there was no direct sunlight to affect their vision. Since then they have maintained a firm grasp in the Hold of Belkzen in central Avistan, but have lost much of their influence in the rest of the world.[1]

Language[]
The orc language is said to be violent and harsh, just as its speakers are. It's composed by mostly hard consonants and sharp delivery, and it uses the dwarven alphabet.
