Jann (the singular is Janni) are the weakest members of geniekind. Composed of all four elements, they are most frequently found on the Material Plane.

Appearance[]

Janni appears almost human but has a definite mystical air to the them, something that makes them both admired and distrusted by actual humans. Jann stand at least six feet tall, and carry themselves with an unnatural grace. The only other give away to their nature is their eyes, which sparkle with an unnatural brightness.[1]

Habitat & Ecology[]

Jann favour the quiet isolation of the deepest desert and the most remote oases. Unlike the other genies the Janni have no home elemental plane, instead they roam all across the material plane. A part of this is keeping their distance from humans who they seem to distrust but they also seem to be drawn to places of natural beauty like the Painted Flutes and other such natural wonders. Janni are unique amongst the genies in that rather than being composed of a single element they are made of a combination of all four. As noted above the Jann are the most human looking of all the genies (though they would be quick to take offence to anyone who pointed that out to them), they are however much stronger than they initially appear.[1]
