Harridans are the highest strata of lamyros society, higher even than the lamia matriarchs who rule many tribes of the weaker lamia. While they are the highest strata, they are also by far the rarest of their family.
For the Harridan template from the Anniversary Edition of the Rise of the Runelords adventure path, see Harridan (Template).
Harridans appear very similar to normal lamia just much bigger so like the lamia they resemble a centaur with a lions body Harridans have the four legged lower body of a massive hunting cat, usually a dire lion from the waist down. From the waist up they have the body of a beautiful giantess, often covered in jewellery or hena tattoos anything that they feel will enhance their beauty. Harridans bodies are normally about twenty feet long and are so large they weigh upwards of six thousand pounds.
Habitat & Ecology
Lamia harridans are a rarity amongst the lamia species. They occour only once in every five hundreds births but are born to lead their people. Those who survive to maturity in a tribe of lamia that is not already led by a harridan are almost guarnteed to rise to lead the tribe. Harridans have long life spans living to be up to five hundred years old. Harridans, unlike most lamia, are religious. They do not pay the Gods any more than lip service themselves but insisit of fanatical devotion from their followers.
- Like the big cats that make up there lower torso Harridans can pounce on they prey tearing into them with all their claws.
- Wisdom Drain
- The touch of the harridan drains the wisdom of their opponents with every attack.
