Grodlych was one of the two counties of Ustalav most devastated by the baleful influence of the reborn Whispering Tyrant and the devastation of the Shining Crusade launched to overthrow the lich.
After the defeat of the Tyrant, it was combined with its equally desolate neighbor Virholt to form the new territory of Virlych. It remains a protectorate of the nation of Lastwall, with frequent armed patrols who hunt down any undead still roaming the land near the Whispering Tyrant's prison, Gallowspire.
Small villages and hamlets dot this blighted land, living off of whatever health land they have. Few have tried to bring it back to its former state, but the blighted lands tend to lead only to death and destruction.[1][2][3]
