Conqueror's Bay is a large inlet in southern Varisia. This body of water stretches approximately 45 miles from the mouth of the Jeggare River and the city of Korvosa to the Arcadian Ocean, where it opens through a narrow strait into the wider sea.[1] At the mouth of the bay, a giant chain spans the ocean floor from the Korvosan town of Veldraine to the deep within the basalt shelf opposite the town which can be pulled tight by a series of massive winches to prevent passage into or out of the bay.[2]
