Artokus Kirran was born in the city-state of Merab, in Thuvia, and it was here that he discovered the formula for the sun orchid elixir in 1140 AR.[1] By law he is the only Thuvian allowed to take the elixir. Its anti-aging properties mean he is believed to still be alive today, living in the Citadel of the Alchemist with his familiar, Tukalo, and producing six vials of the elixir each month for export.
